Support Branjae Music

Hey there, supporters and lovers!

This time last year, we were about to release the single Everybody Needs, we were on our way to SXSW. That showcase kicked off a wildly successful year in Tulsa, that included the filming of Focus as part of Tulsa Lil Jam and a live taping of  Addicted. We have new goals for 2019 and your support is vital!

About Me

Branjae is the birth child of Classic Soul, Funk and R&B. With a culmination of lyrical depths, energetic theatrical performances and genre fluidity, her storytelling style comes as unique as the personas she embodies. Branjae’s fearless and energetic showcase, encourages elevated consciousness by connecting with her audiences for the soul purpose of creating unity and harmony.

Born in the city of Motown and rooted in the city of The Gap Band and Leon Russell, songwriter Branjae established herself as a full-bodied, triple entertainer. Singing, dancing, and acting her way into the hearts of concert audiences from Tulsa to Austin’s SXSW, from Atlanta to Chicago, and across the sea to England, Branjae has developed a tailing of followers. She went on to earn awards from Absolute Best of Tulsa, 5 nominations for the We are Tulsa Music Awards, and recently gained recognition from Oklahoma Magazine for being named as Oklahoma Best of 2018 alongside Hanson and The Flaming Lips.

Her voice has been likened to the rasp of Lauryn Hill, the alto register of India Arie, and the soul of Nina Simone, while her stage presence heavily influenced by the leg work of Tina Turner, confidence of Michael Jackson, and the commanding presence of Freddie Mercury.

Branjae has developed an abundance of experience as an entertainer. She’s opened/shared the stage with Thundercat, Fishbone, Ohio Players, RC and the Grits (Erykah Badu’s current band), Andy Frasco and the late Waymen Tisdale. She also co-fronts the loud, funky, socially opinionated band, Count Tutu, alongside songwriter and guitar player, Nathan Wright.
